This Chocolate Chips Banana Muffins are soft, moist and full of flavor one of my favorite it is easy to make even if you don’t have any experience in baking. If you have ripe bananas at home and some other pantry ingredients you are good to go to make your own version. Not only will these muffins have your home smelling incredibly amazing!
WHAT YOU NEED TO MAKE THIS RECIPE
Bananas – over ripe bananas are a must for this recipe because under ripe bananas are too firm which will cause a lumpy batter. They’re also not as sweet which will affect the taste. If you need to ripen your bananas quickly check out my tip below!
Flour – I prefer to use all purpose flour but whole wheat works well. You can also substitute your favorite gluten-free flour instead.
Baking powder and Baking Soda – These are both leavening agent and are what make the muffins rise.
Chocolate chips – I like to use semi-sweet chocolate chips but you can use any kind you like whether it’s milk, dark or white chocolate.
Buttermilk – it brings such an incredibly moisture texture.
Butter – Butter adds a luscious, buttery flavor to the muffins. If you use salted butter omit the additional salt in the recipe.
Egg – an egg structure and tenderness to the muffins.
Brown Sugar – sugar adds moisture, sweetness and makes the muffins tender. If you only have white sugar, don’t worry you can use it instead as me i used both.
Vanilla – It adds richness and sweetness smell that sugar doesn’t provide.
Salt – Just a tiny bit of salt makes these muffins ultra flavorful.
Lemon Juice – it helps to prevent the mashed bananas from becoming brown.
